Active Vs passive investment: which to favor?
Passive investing represents more than half of the assets invested in funds worldwide. However, this investment approach remains unknown to Belgian investors who still mainly favor active management offered by the country's major financial institutions. During this conference, we will define the notions of active management and passive management, identify what distinguishes them, present why index investing has been so successful across the Atlantic for many years and finally we will explain how to take advantage of it.

Corentin Scavé oversees all investment activities at Easyvest, the portfolio management company he founded with Matthieu Remy in 2016. A leader in index investing in Belgium, Easyvest currently manages over €115 million in assets for the account of 2000 Belgian families. It is recognized for its high degree of digitalization, an incomparable level of service and excellent financial performance. Under the impulse of Corentin and thanks to his sound experience in wealth management, the Easyvest investment team can deal with the most complex patrimonial situations.
Previously, Corentin worked at Roland Berger Strategy Consulting, in Private Equity on the development of solar projects and as manager in a family office and as director of a hedge fund. He is a Management Engineer, holds a Masters in Financial Management from the Louvain School of Management (LSM-UCL), studied at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
