Speakers

Bruno Colmant

Bruno Colmant is a highly inspiring professional with an impressive academic background. He holds a Commercial Engineering degree and PhD in Applied Economics from Solvay in Brussels, a Master of Sciences in Administration from Purdue University in the USA, as well as a Master in Tax Sciences from ICHEC in Brussels.

Throughout his career, Bruno has held a variety of influential positions, including CEO of ING, Cabinet Director of the Ministry of Finance, President of the Brussels Stock Exchange, and CEO of Banque Degroof Petercam among others. He is currently a member of the Belgian Royal Academy, as well as a respected university professor at several institutions including UCLouvain, ULB, Vlerick, ICHEC, and St-Louis. He also serves as the President of the Belgian Finance Center.

Bruno has made a significant impact in the financial community with his extensive body of work, having published over 80 books on finance, accounting, and taxation, and contributing over 5,000 financial articles to the written press. He will be signing his latest book published in February, “Une brûlante inquiétude,” for our members.

Emmanuelle Ghislain

Emmanuelle Ghislain is a social entrepreneur who has dedicated her career to making a positive impact in the world. She is currently the CEO of Pulse Foundation and a Fellow of Belgium’s 40under40, recognizing her as one of the country’s top young professionals. In addition, Emmanuelle is a board member of several prominent organizations, including Bras dessus Bras dessous and Médecins Sans Frontières.

With a background in communication and marketing in social enterprises, including SOS Faim and Duo for a job, Emmanuelle brings a wealth of experience and a passion for social impact to her role as CEO.

Laurent Hublet

Laurent is an entrepreneur and philosopher. He co-founded and runs BeCentral, one of the largest digital campuses in Europe, located in the central station of Brussels. He also co-founded BeCode, a free programming school in Charleroi, Liège, Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels. In parallel, Laurent is vice-dean in charge of lifelong learning at Solvay Business School.

From November 2014 to February 2018, Laurent was responsible for Digital Belgium, the digital strategy of the Belgian federal government, in the cabinet of Deputy Prime Minister Alexander De Croo. The meetings and discussions of this period, as well as older passions, led him to embark on societal entrepreneurship in education.

Laurent is an investor in a dozen start-ups and a columnist for L’Echo and La Première.
